Science Storybook Study
Age: 4 to 5 years old
Time: About 30 minutes
Dr. Vanessa LoBue and The Child Study Center at Rutgers University Newark would like to invite you to participate in an online research study investigating how children learn to reason about contagious illness. During a zoom call, your child will watch and listen to one of two narrated storybooks about a scientific concept and answer questions about the story to see how much they learned. Your participation should take 30 minutes or less and can be scheduled at a time that is convenient for you. You will receive a $5 (USD) Amazon.com gift card for your participation. This study will take place online via Zoom.

Emotion Storybook Study!
Age: 4 to 9 years old
Time: About 30-40 minutes
During a zoom call, your child will be read a series of short stories, and they will be asked to respond to a few questions after each story about how the protagonist in each story feels and why. The entire study will take about 30 to 40 minutes. We offer a small compensation to our participants in the form of a $10 amazon e-gift card.
